Research assistant job offer

We are seeking a full-time Research Assistant or two part-time research assistants for the project “Charting political ideological landscapes in Europe: Fault lines and opportunities (POL-AXES)” in the Departments of Mathematics and Quantitative Methods of CUNEF Universidad. The project focuses on the quantitative analysis of public opinion in Europe. It is a competitive grant funded by BBVA Foundation. It includes participation from the Department of Mathematical Sciences of Durham University (UK) and the Department of Economic Analysis of UPV/EHU.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for Master graduates or Ph.D. students (maximum three years since the end of the bachelor) interested in empirical research from programs in Quantitative Methods, Statistics, Data Sciences, or Social Science programs or related fields with a strong quantitative component. Candidates should have strong analytical capabilities, coding skills and a proven track record:

• Programming and conducting analysis in Python, R and Stata;
• Managing, cleaning and combining large datasets (experience with SQL is a plus).

Key Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining, debugging and executing code in Python, R and Stata.
• Conducting large sets of statistical analyses
• Assisting in the preparation of research results reporting (summaries, visualizations, etc.).
• Assisting in organizing research dissemination activities.

Job Details: Type: On-site work at CUNEF University Campus in Madrid (In-person). Location: Madrid. Work Schedule: Full-time. Duration: 1 year (6 months + 6 months)
